Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeps abreast of changes in the business and proactively counsels client groups on potential impacts on the workplace and the workforce.
- Primary point of contact with HR for management and employees within designated client group.
- Acts as an HR consultant and advises clients on various employee issues such as employee counselling, performance management, personnel movement, and exit interviews.
- Works towards standardization of processes and practices in all areas of HR delivery.
- Facilitates the client’s talent management processes (performance management, succession planning, career development planning) to provide prepared, qualified internal candidates and career growth opportunities for employees.
- Liaises with compensation, recruiting, global mobility, and payroll departments to assist clients with various personnel needs and movements.
- Supports delivery and execution of workforce planning, staffing, and recruitment efforts.
- Ensures accurate Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records within client group by actively coordinating HR data management activities.
- Maintains compliance within client group with all applicable regulations concerning employment.
- Establishes HR visibility and fosters a positive employee-relations environment within the client group via field visits and client leadership team participation.
- Resolves and/or responds to employee issues as capable or brokers service from appropriate HR resource for resolution.
- Assists client management with employee counselling, coaching, terminations, and investigations of alleged harassment, discrimination, or other inappropriate workplace behaviour.
- Facilitates special projects as assigned within client group.
- Travels, where permissible, to visit assigned offshore units.
- Participates in HR On-Call Support.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
- CIPD Qualified.
- Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience or in a similar role.
- Experience operating in a matrixed environment.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of government regulations related to Human Resources issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of expatriate assignment issues.
- Demonstrated experience with employee health and wellbeing benefits, including healthcare schemes and related initiatives.
- Strong project management capability, with the ability to prioritise, plan and deliver multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Solid working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- High level of discretion and professionalism with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse data and produce clear, well-structured presentations.
