A leading London-based university is seeking a Learning Technologist to join a successful and commercially focused education division delivering innovative programmes to a diverse worldwide student community. The division delivers a range of internationally recognised programmes to nearly 10,000 students across around 40 countries. With major investment underway to transform its distance learning and online degree provision, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the future development of online education.
The Learning Technologist will support the delivery of learning experiences across both online and locally taught programmes. While the initial focus will be on supporting existing programmes, the successful candidate will also contribute to the development of future digital learning platforms and approaches.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and support Virtual Learning Environments, primarily Moodle and Canvas, and related platforms.
- Set up and manage programme and course areas, ensuring consistency and accessibility.
- Upload and maintain course materials, activities and announcements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate module builds and ensure timelines are met.
- Experience supporting VLE platforms such as Moodle or Canvas within higher education.
- Experience developing online learning resources.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
