Renowned University needs experienced International Admissions Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of the International Admissions function. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality processing of international applications across the student journey.
You will manage a team of admissions professionals, oversee complex admissions decisions, and ensure service level agreements are consistently met. The role also plays a key part in delivering a smooth applicant experience during peak periods such as Clearing and Confirmation.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the International Admissions team
- Manage, support, and develop admissions staff, including supervisory roles
- Ensure applications are processed accurately and within SLA targets
- Oversee complex admissions decisions, complaints, and appeals
- Ensure compliance with UKVI, GDPR, CMA, and internal regulations
- Drive process improvements and service enhancements
- Deliver training on admissions processes and systems
- Collaborate with faculties, recruitment, CAS operations, and student services
- Support peak admissions activity including Clearing and Open Days
- Deputise for senior leadership as required
Experience needed:
- Experience in higher education admissions or international student recruitment
- Proven experience managing or supervising teams
- Strong understanding of UKVI and international admissions processes
- Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced operational environments
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable working with data and admissions systems (e.g. Banner or similar)
