A leading, renowned Museum in Central London needs a highly skilled Database Income Processing Officer for an interim temp role for 3 months. This is a great opportunity to join an organisation at a very exciting time if you have fundraising and donor income processing experience and sound CRM skills.

Using Raiser’s Edge, you will work with your Manager to ensure income is processed in a timely and compliant manner and you will be a key part of a friendly team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing vital support for the Museum’s philanthropic supporters and corporate partners through database administration and gift processing.
  • Working with the database team to ensure the database is maintained and up-to-date with data protection legislation.
  • Processing Development income and Gift Aid, regular housekeeping activities and ad hoc data quality projects.
  • Administering and managing data input and processing within the Development CRM database.
  • Working with the Senior Database Manager to ensure that all data is held in accordance with UK GDPR, PECR, PCI regulations and the Fundraising Promise.
  • Accurately processing Development income, including logging pledges, processing donations, corporate partnerships and memberships, event-related income.
  • Ensuring Gift Aid is correctly captured and processed, supporting the submission of claims to HMRC.
  • Raising invoices to donors and corporate partners as needed.
  • Finance reconciliation, to ensure Development CRM data matches finance and bank details, plus assisting with audits.
  • Creating data selections for donor communications, working with the Stakeholder Data Team, Membership, Patrons and others to ensure key data points are included, are accurate and that suppressions are applied.
  • Supporting the Senior Database Manager in monitoring users on the database and identifying additional training needs.
  • Providing the Senior Database Manager and Head of Strategy & Operations with data and/or reports on Development income and CRM data quality.
Experience needed:
  • CRM housekeeping and data quality experience.
  • Income processing within a fundraising environment, including running Gift Aid claims.
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR and other data protection legislation.
  • Advanced use of Excel for helping process data, mailing lists, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a fundraising CRM team.
  • Experience in handling financial and non-financial data and developing and administering effective processes.
  • Experience with fundraising CRM data processing including for imports, queries, exports.
  • Experience of running data quality checks and reports, taking appropriate action to clean up data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, in particular when working with data.
  • Ability to multi-task and meticulous eye for detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to analyse processes to find ways to improve.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and be responsible for sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge (RE7) is desirable as is knowledge of direct debit processing/tools, and understanding of data security, the fundraising regulator and financial industry standards.
  • The ability to design and implement new processes and iterative improvements to existing processes would also be an advantage.
