VAKT is a FinTech dedicated to the physical oil trading market and has built a platform underpinned by Blockchain and AI that is disrupting the status quo. We are a uniquely placed start-up, backed and well-funded by a consortium of Oil Majors (inc. Shell, Chevron), Banks (Société Générale, ING) and Trading Houses (Gunvor, Mercuria).

The Lead Generation Specialist plays a key role in driving VAKT's growth by identifying new sales opportunities and contributing to both short-term wins and long-term strategic goals. This position is responsible for generating high-quality leads, supporting revenue expansion, and helping identify areas for market growth. The position is a great introduction to enterprise sales within a SaaS FinTech, giving opportunity to drive your own business within a global growth function. Initial focus will be working directly with the CEO, Head of Growth and other BDR representatives, supporting lead generation efforts with full autonomy to deliver results that will give a strong foundation to evolve into a new business sales role or an account management role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Growth team in building and maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified leads
  • Collaborate with Marketing teams to ensure lead generation activities align with overall business objectives
  • Analyze market trends to uncover new opportunities for expansion
  • Research, track, and maintain up-to-date records of prospects and leads
  • Conduct outbound calls and outreach to identify new business opportunities
  • Qualify leads through effective communication and needs assessment
  • Maintain and update the lead generation database to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Conduct customer and market research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to Sales and Management teams
  • Develop a strong understanding of VAKT’s products and services to support effective lead engagement
  • Measure success using KPIs such as number of qualified leads, pipeline growth, and contribution to sales targets

Key Skills and Experience

  • Research & Information Management: Proven ability to conduct focused, strategic research to identify and qualify leads. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Experience in managing and maintaining accurate lead and customer databases.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with potential clients.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Data-driven approach to measuring and optimizing lead generation efforts. Ability to assess and adapt strategies based on performance insights and trends.
  • Persistence and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to work toward targets and manage multiple priorities effectively. Resilient mindset with a professional and persistent approach to outreach, including cold calling. Comfortable in high-activity environments requiring self-motivation and discipline.
  • Others: Prior experience in lead generation, sales, or similar roles. Understanding of physical commodity market practices and processes, familiarity with trading and operational systems is a strong plus. Experience of working within a product company is a plus. Experience thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
