Up to £90,000 plus hybrid/flexible working.
An established, independent firm is offering a Senior Practice Accountant role to a qualified Chartered Accountant, paying above the going rate for Carlisle and the wider Cumbria market.
The focus is accounts preparation for a portfolio of limited company clients, along with corporation tax compliance.
Role Overview
We are looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) who is comfortable preparing statutory and management accounts for limited companies and handling corporation tax returns. This role is ideal for someone who has settled into a local practice, delivers solid work, and is looking for a step up in reward and a firm that values them as an individual.
Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory and management accounts for a portfolio of limited company clients.
- Handle corporation tax computations and returns alongside accounts preparation.
- Manage your own compliance deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for your portfolio of clients.
- Flag opportunities for wider advisory input to the Director where relevant.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
- Solid, practical experience preparing accounts for limited company clients in a practice environment.
- Working knowledge of corporation tax; confidence with basic requirements is sufficient.
- Ability to manage workload autonomously.
