A progressive firm of chartered accountants based on the outskirts of Liverpool is looking to recruit a ACA / ACCA Finalist or Recently qualified Practice Accountant to join their professional and friendly team. Reporting to the Directors, the Practice Accountant will build up to taking responsibility for a portfolio of individuals, owner‑managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients with turnovers up to the audit threshold. Ideally, within 6‑12 months, you will develop into being the first point of contact for the clients, dealing with day‑to‑day queries alongside ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and to deadline.
Responsibilities:- Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies mainly FRS 105, some FRS 102 1A
- Produce corporation tax computations and returns, plus personal tax work for business owners/directors
- Support clients with management accounts, VAT returns and general SME advice
- Review juniors' work depending on level and help with their development
- Build long‑term client relationships and become a trusted point of contact
