Specialist Tax Advisor | Chester | Up to £55,000
About the Role
A boutique tax practice in Chester is looking for a CTA-qualified (or near-qualified) Tax Advisor to join its specialist team, delivering complex advisory work across corporate tax, trusts, inheritance tax and VAT - rather than routine personal tax compliance.
This is a role for someone who wants deeper technical work, direct client contact, and a genuine seat at the table in a smaller, close-knit practice - not another number in a large, siloed compliance team.
Tax Advisor - This Role Is Ideal For a Tax Advisor Who:
- Has outgrown high-volume personal tax compliance and wants to focus on genuine planning and advisory work across corporate tax, trusts, IHT and VAT
- Wants direct client relationships and visibility of their impact, rather than being one of many in a large team
- Is CTA qualified (or ATT-qualified with strong specialist tax experience) and ready to take real ownership of complex cases
About the Firm
This is a boutique, specialist tax practice based in Chester, built up over the past decade by a small team of experienced tax professionals. The firm focuses specifically on complex tax projects - corporate tax, inheritance tax, trusts and estates, and VAT - for a client base of companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.
It's a genuinely close, family feel environment where technical excellence and client care both matter.
Why This Role Exists
The firm's specialist tax caseload has grown to the point where the existing team need an additional experienced pair of hands. This is a newly created role rather than a replacement - the firm is looking for someone who can pick up a varied portfolio of advisory work from day one and grow with the practice as it continues to build its reputation in the specialist tax space.
