Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager - Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager to join an established team based in Runcorn Sutton Quays, with excellent transport links across the North West.

The Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager role will suit an experienced personal tax professional who enjoys managing a varied portfolio and delivering both compliance and advisory support to private clients and owner-managed businesses. You’ll have real autonomy, exposure to interesting work including HNWIs, landlords and trusts , and clear scope for progression.

Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager - Responsibilities

As Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, acting as the main point of contact

• Delivering compliance and advisory work across a broad range of personal tax matters

• Advising individuals and owner-managed businesses with practical, commercially focused guidance

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser

• Handling HMRC enquiries and investigations

• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to provide joined-up client service

Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager - Benefits

• Salary £45,000 – £55,000 negotiable depending on experience

Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager – Requirements

To be successful as Tax Manager / Tax Senior Manager, you will ideally have:

• A strong personal tax background gained within public practice essential

• Exposure to advisory-led work for individuals and owner-managed businesses

• CTA/ATT qualified or qualified by experience

• Experience with trusts advantageous, but not essential

• Confidence managing your own client portfolio and maintaining excellent client relationships

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach across departments
