Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Belper / Derbyshire - Permanent | Full-Time - Rotating Days & Afternoons (No Nights)

The Role

As part of the on-site engineering team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of production equipment. Key duties include:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults across both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Working with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, motors, sensors, and pneumatics
  • Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Updating maintenance activities within a CMMS system
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standards
  • Collaborating closely with production and engineering teams

About You

We're looking for a proactive and motivated engineer who enjoys working in a modern manufacturing environment.

Essential:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills
  • Confident with fault-finding and PPM activities
  • A professional, team-focused approach

Desirable:

  • Experience with PLC fault finding or automation systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS software
  • Relevant engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)

Working Hours

Rotating shifts: 06:00 - 14:30, 14:30 - 23:00, Fridays: 06:00 - 12:00, 12:00 - 18:00 - No night shifts - Consistent, predictable shift pattern.
