About the Role
We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Belper on a 6-month secondment with strong potential to become permanent. Immediate start available, making this an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to move quickly into a new role. You'll work in a highly automated, fast-paced production environment, supporting advanced equipment including robotics and PLC-controlled systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and automated systems
- Deliver reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
- Support automated presses, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) and engineering projects
- Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality, and compliance standards
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
- Background in manufacturing, FMCG, production, or industrial environments
- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems
- Experience with robotics or automated machinery (desirable)
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
- Proactive and flexible approach with strong problem-solving skills
