About the Role

We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Belper on a 6-month secondment with strong potential to become permanent. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and automated systems
  • Deliver reactive maintenance to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively
  • Support automated presses, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) and engineering projects
  • Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality, and compliance standards

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Technician
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
  • Background in manufacturing, FMCG, production, or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems
  • Experience with robotics or automated machinery (desirable)
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
  • Proactive and flexible approach with strong problem-solving skills
