What We Achieve Together

In your daily work, you ensure smooth production by resolving tooling breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance on press tools, fixtures and jigs across the site. Your responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex tooling issues, using your hands-on expertise to minimise downtime and ensure consistent production quality. Together with the press team, you manufacture, repair and adjust tooling using tool-room equipment such as lathes and milling machines, supporting both reactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. By performing tooling modifications and adjustments, you enable the efficient production of different component variants across press tools and specialised machinery. In close collaboration with production and quality teams, you ensure all tooling meets engineering specifications and delivers precise, high-quality output. You take ownership of identifying recurring issues, implementing sustainable improvements and contributing to tooling projects, while maintaining accurate documentation in line with internal processes.

What Makes Us Successful Together

You have completed a recognised technical apprenticeship or bring equivalent qualifications in mechanical engineering, toolmaking or a related discipline. You have proven experience in press tooling maintenance or manufacturing environments, ideally with exposure to forming, cutting or bending processes. You are confident in operating workshop machinery such as milling machines, lathes and grinders, and can read and interpret engineering drawings with accuracy. Experience with CNC programming or advanced tooling design would be an advantage but is not essential. You approach challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, communicate effectively across teams and take pride in delivering high-quality, reliable work.
