You will lead and coordinate electrical compliance activities across our manufacturing sites, ensuring that all electrical infrastructure, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, operates safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external utility providers, you will oversee maintenance, inspection, and improvement programmes for critical electrical assets, helping to secure operational continuity and reliability.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing risk assessments, method statements, permits, isolations, and lockout-tagout activities, ensuring the highest standards of contractor and employee safety are maintained at all times. By driving compliance with electrical legislation, equipment regulations, and engineering best practices, you will identify risks, implement corrective actions, and strengthen governance across our sites. Together with engineering and maintenance colleagues, you will deliver infrastructure improvement projects, monitor energy performance, and support initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
Through technical leadership, coaching, and knowledge sharing, you will help develop engineering capability across the organisation, creating an environment where individuals and teams can perform at their best.
You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable electrical discipline. Candidates with a Higher National Certificate and substantial relevant experience will also be considered. IOSH certification or equivalent health and safety qualifications would be advantageous. You bring significant experience in senior electrical engineering, compliance, maintenance, or project-based environments and have a strong track record of working with high-voltage electrical systems and associated infrastructure.
You possess expert knowledge of electrical regulations, contractor management, risk assessment, electrical safety, asset reliability, and compliance requirements. Experience with high-voltage authorised person responsibilities is highly valued, while knowledge of programmable logic controllers and fault finding would be beneficial. Exposure to manufacturing, industrial engineering, utilities, energy management, or continuous improvement programmes will enable you to make an immediate impact within our business.
You are a credible and influential leader who communicates effectively across all organisational levels. Your proactive mindset, sound judgement, and commitment to safety help you build trust, foster collaboration, and drive positive change.
