Location: Hybrid - 3 days in the office in Cheddar and 2 days at home

About the Role: We’re looking for a proactive and creative Digital & Social Media Marketing Assistant to join our fast‑paced Marketing team. You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys getting stuck into social media, creating engaging content to elevate our online presence, and supporting wider digital initiatives. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for digital marketing, you’ll help manage our website, craft compelling copy, and deliver activity across multiple digital marketing channels.
Main responsibilities:
- Support managing the VADO website via a CMS; maintaining and updating where necessary ensuring all information is accurate and performance is at an optimal level.
- Managing and fulfilling relationships with partners of external digital marketing platforms.
- Identifying trends, keyword opportunities and creating content for blog articles, optimised to support our organic SEO strategy.
- Supporting the maintenance of the digital communications calendar and planning across channels including website, social media, email campaigns and digital PR.
- Managing social media platforms, creating content calendars, briefing asset creation & executing content.
- Community management across all social media platforms, managing inboxes and tagged content.
- Identifying and nurturing influencer marketing opportunities.
- Be the ‘voice of the brand’, using your copywriting skills to write website content, blog posts and SEO optimised product descriptions.
- Competitor & industry research, ensuring the brand stays ahead of the curve.
- Support the wider marketing team with ad-hoc projects.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- A passion for all things digital marketing, eager to learn and keep ahead of industry trends.
- Experience in using and managing a website CMS, Magento experience a bonus.
- Proficient understanding of social media platforms.
- Previous experience of managing social media content for a brand.
- Experience in creative copywriting.
- Understanding of SEO.
- Experience in paid social media an advantage.
- A proactive and willing-to-learn attitude.
- Highly organised and excellent time management.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent using Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Outlook.
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or Canva a bonus, but not required.
