Due to continued growth and an expanding national client portfolio, we're looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Technical Team as Trainee Asbestos Consultants.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to start a long-term career within the asbestos industry.
You'll work alongside experienced Asbestos Surveyors and Analysts, gaining practical experience while studying towards nationally recognised qualifications.
With full training and support, you'll develop the skills needed to become a qualified Asbestos Consultant.
The role involves travel to client sites across the UK and may include manual handling, working at height and working in confined spaces.
All work is carried out safely, with comprehensive training and supervision provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Shadow experienced Asbestos Surveyors and Analysts on a variety of client sites.
- Learn to carry out asbestos surveys and air monitoring activities in accordance with industry standards.
- Develop the knowledge and practical skills required to achieve industry-recognised qualifications.
- Produce accurate site documentation and reports.
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
- Work safely in accordance with company procedures and health & safety legislation.
- Travel to sites nationwide as required.
- The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good written and IT skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to studying towards professional qualifications.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (paid for by the company).
Previous construction, trades or site experience is desirable but not essential.
