Head Chef to join our team.

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Create innovative, seasonal, and bespoke menus on a weekly basis, tailored to client requirements and event briefs.
  • Plan and develop menus for buffet-style hospitality, including sandwiches, pastries, continental breakfasts, bowl food, canapés, and occasional fine dining events.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all food across daily service and events.
  • Lead kitchen operations for hospitality events of up to 250 covers.
  • Maintain exceptional food hygiene, safety, and HACCP standards at all times.
  • Monitor food costs, minimise waste, and manage the kitchen budget effectively.
  • Conduct stock takes, manage inventory, and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers, place orders, and ensure all products meet quality standards.
  • Work closely with clients and management on menu planning, tastings, and special events.
  • Lead, coach, and support a small kitchen team of 3-5 people, including Kitchen Assistants and agency chefs when required.
  • Ensure all team members receive appropriate training, development, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee smooth day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
