Location: E1 8QT
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum plus performance related bonus
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, working a mix of shifts between 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm and 10am to 6pm; flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Sales and Business Development
- Reporting to the General Manager, responsible for sales projects involving both proactive and reactive selling.
- Managing a team of 4 and their training and development.
- Responsible for all email marketing activities including news stories, newsletters and blogging sent to the venue database.
- Regularly creating packages for various customer groups and ensuring appropriate marketing campaigns are delivered for maximum business gain.
- Updating the website daily to ensure visual appearance and content represent the quality of events sold and delivered.
- Overseeing all social media accounts including Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, Yapster and Facebook, ensuring daily updates with appropriate sales and reputation-driven content.
- Organising and hosting various client familiarisation events to create new business.
- Managing the marketing budget to ensure maximum return on investment.
- Reporting back on figures and sales marketing activities at the end of each month.
- Chairing monthly marketing meetings to ensure strategic marketing plans are achieved with minimal effect on the marketing budget, looking at least three months ahead.
- Utilising the site's events software - Rendezvous; contacting prospective customers by the appropriate method and handling incoming enquiries to the agreed standard (telephone, mail, letter).
- Having excellent knowledge of the site, its capacities, unique selling points and capabilities.
- Achieving higher average spend by effective use of upselling to each client.
- Assisting in the organisation and running of promotional events including potential client hospitality activity.
Relationship Management
- Communicating and providing information to internal departments and colleagues to assist and enable sales activities to run smoothly.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and clients, both internal and external.
