As part of our client’s new premises due to open in Spring this year, we have built a brand new restaurant and bar exclusively for use by our client’s staff and associates. By day, it will provide a fantastic place to conduct meetings or have some down time during the working day complimented by Barista Coffee and a small but premium Bistro style food offer. In the evening, the venue will become a post work social space offering an eclectic range of food and drink for that perfect post work wind down.
Location: Greenside Row, Edinburgh, EH1 3AN
Rate of Pay: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Predominantly Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, rare weekend shifts, variable shifts but no late nights
Key Responsibilities:
- To prepare and oversee all preparation of food to the highest standard
- Work closely with the Front of House Manager to deliver an exceptional experience whilst recruiting and building a new team of approximately 4 chefs
- Looking after the restaurant and bar
- To produce food in a timely fashion to ensure smooth service to the customers
- To ensure that all appropriate ingredients are available for the menus
- To develop and plan menus that are in line with client and customer expectations
- To be creative when menu planning and including the client and customers
- Pride yourself on food quality and hygiene standard
- Overall responsibility for managing the kitchen team
- Provide feedback and coaching on performance
- To ensure that the kitchen team have completed up to date COSHH and Food Hygiene training
