Location: London, SW11 8BJ
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Working Pattern: 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30 paid overtime optional
Key Responsibilities
- Create innovative, seasonal, and bespoke menus on a weekly basis, tailored to client requirements and event briefs.
- Plan and develop menus for buffet-style hospitality, including sandwiches, pastries, continental breakfasts, bowl food, canapés, and occasional fine dining events.
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all food across daily service and events.
- Lead kitchen operations for hospitality events of up to 400 covers.
- Maintain exceptional food hygiene, safety, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Monitor food costs, minimise waste, and manage the kitchen budget effectively.
- Conduct stock takes, manage inventory, and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Liaise with suppliers, place orders, and ensure all products meet quality standards.
- Work closely with clients and management on menu planning, tastings, and special events.
- Lead, coach, and support a small kitchen team of 3-4 people, including Kitchen Assistants and agency chefs when required.
- Ensure all team members receive appropriate training, development, and performance feedback.
- Oversee smooth day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.
