We are now recruiting for a Quality Inspector to measure and visually inspect components and assemblies to drawing using a variety of metrology equipment. You will visually inspect welds, validate components and assemblies and ensure any defects and features not to specification are recorded.
In addition to this as our Quality Inspector you will be responsible for:
- Observe the non-conformance process and taking corrective actions, ensuring root cause is established to correct errors and prevent future occurrences.
- Visually inspect finished goods to ensure compliance to specification.
- Being the champion for ensuring the required quality standard is delivered to our customers.
- Working with various individuals and teams to improve processes to manufacture our products right the first time.
- Updating KPI’s and metrics to drive quality improvement.
In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you have:
- Experience working to ISO 9001.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of Quality and Process management tools and methodology.
- Experience of using CMM or Faro Arm devices and proficient with a range of metrology equipment typically used in machine shop environments.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications.
It would be great if you had:
- Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes.
- Previous experience of working in the vacuum industry.
- Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
