The Role

As a Lettings Negotiator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the lettings department. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing applicant enquiries, conducting viewings, and negotiating offers to successfully match tenants with suitable properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Registering and qualifying prospective tenants
  • Conducting property viewings and providing detailed feedback to landlords
  • Negotiating tenancy terms between landlords and tenants
  • Proactively generating new business opportunities and landlord instructions
  • Maintaining strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and colleagues
  • Keeping up to date with local market trends and competitor activity
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant lettings legislation and company procedures
  • Managing administrative duties related to lettings transactions

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience in a lettings or estate agency role preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Target-driven with a proactive and positive attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Local knowledge of the Cambridge property market is advantageous
