Our very well regarded client based just outside of Norwich, Norfolk are now in the market for a Business Development / Account Manager to join their rapidly expanding team. This is a newly created role and will offer the unique blend of new business development together with developing and nurturing existing client relationships. Our client is in a very niche market but full industry training will be provided to the right candidate who is self motivated, punchy and able to manage new and existing clients. This is an office-based role requiring strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills, along with the ability to coordinate closely with operational and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within construction, offshore, infrastructure, utilities, and defence sectors.
  • Prepare and present quotations, tenders, and commercial proposals.
  • Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate project scope and pricing.
  • Liaise and coordinate/handover instructed works with the Operations Department.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract award.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline reporting using CRM systems.
  • Attend client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities as required.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Support marketing initiatives and business development campaigns.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Sales Manager or Business Development role.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience within the geophysical surveying, construction, offshore, defence, or engineering sectors.
  • Knowledge of tendering and commercial contracts.
  • Existing industry contacts and client network.
