About the apprenticeship
Duties
- Assist in the implementation and configuration of the company’s ERP system across all departments.
- Support the integration of existing business processes into the ERP platform.
- Provide day‑to‑day support for ERP users, troubleshooting issues and escalating where necessary.
- Work with senior staff and business stakeholders to understand requirements and adapt ERP modules accordingly.
- Participate in testing, training, and documentation to ensure smooth system adoption.
- Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of ERP system functionality.
- Collaborate with external vendors or consultants during ERP upgrades or customisations.
- Apply basic coding or scripting knowledge (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA, or similar) to support reporting, automation and data analysis tasks.
- Monitor and maintain data integrity, security and compliance within the ERP system.
- Stay up to date with ERP best practices, tools and technologies to support continuous improvement.

Requirements
- Qualifications: GCSE (or equivalent) in English at Grade A, GCSE (or equivalent) in an IT subject: Desirable.
- Experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Systems or a related field.
- Strong willingness to learn, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (experience with Exel EFACS or similar is advantageous).
- Familiarity with databases, SQL queries, or coding/scripting languages is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
