The Role
The V&A is a family of museums dedicated to the power of creativity. Our mission is to champion design and creativity in all its forms, advance cultural knowledge, and inspire makers, creators and innovators everywhere. We share a 5,000‑year‑old story of creativity through exhibitions, events, educational programmes, digital experiences, conservation, research, and an ever‑evolving national collection of over 2.8m objects spanning every creative discipline.
In this 12‑month role, you will take responsibility for the care, documentation, research, and interpretation of the Iranian collection held within the Asia Department, based at South Kensington. The postholder will represent the museum and play an active role in the field of the art and culture of Iran, nationally and internationally. They will also play a role in the wider work of the Asia Department and of the museum, collaborating with other departments, contributing to public programmes, and supporting income generation.
