The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking for enthusiastic, communicative and reliable Floor Assistants to help make V&A East’s vision a reality. The museum will open on 18 April 2026 and the Floor Assistants will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of visitor experience and safety across the building, ensuring visitors and diverse audiences feel welcome and engaged, championing V&A East’s values.
Responsibilities
- Maintain visitor experience and safety standards across all areas of the museum.
- Welcome and engage visitors, ensuring a warm and inclusive atmosphere.
- Support the development of the museum’s identity as a leading cultural hub.
- Assist with retail spaces and provide front-of-house security awareness during daytime.
Required Experience / Qualifications
- Preferred candidates are living in or have significant lived experience of the surrounding boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest.
- Forward-thinking, proactive and solution-focused teamwork skills are essential.
