Join a leading specialist in full building envelope solutions as a Senior Design Technician, taking ownership of curtain walling, cladding, windows and doors design from concept to construction. You will lead selected projects, mentor junior team members, and play a key role in delivering technically robust, compliant, high-quality designs.

Ideal Candidate
You’ll thrive here if you have:
- Strong experience in curtain walling, cladding, windows, doors, or full building envelope design
- Proven background producing high-quality fabrication/detailed drawings
- Excellent ability to interpret structural and architectural information
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and ideally Revit/SketchUp/Rhino
- A positive, proactive, organised approach with confidence to communicate clearly with teams, clients and stakeholders
- A team-player mindset with flexibility to handle fluctuating workloads
- Clean driving licence
Key Duties
- Lead on allocated design projects and support the Design Manager in managing client briefs, scopes and deliverables
- Produce accurate 2D/3D drawings aligned to specs, regulations (including fire safety) and client expectations
- Develop design concepts through to detailed design, contributing to tender, contract and site stages
- Collaborate with internal and external design teams to ensure coordinated, compliant design solutions
- Provide input in project/design meetings and maintain consistent quality through internal design reviews
- Support implementation of QA procedures and work in line with internal BMS processes
- Manage your workload effectively, meeting deadlines and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Take responsibility for your own technical development and understanding of products
- Ensure all work complies with H&S and CDM regulations
- Attend site when required and maintain strong communication with office and factory teams
