Our client is a highly respected main contractor, known for delivering complex refurbishment and fit-out projects across the healthcare and commercial sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a M&E Manager to play a pivotal role across the full project lifecycle. This is a key position within the business, acting as the technical authority for MEP services — from tender through to handover and beyond.

What’s on offer:

  • Competitive salary package
  • Company pension
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Generous annual leave

The role:

As Technical Services Manager, you will take ownership of the MEP strategy from pre-construction through to delivery and post-completion. You’ll work closely with internal teams and supply chain partners to ensure technically robust, coordinated, and high-quality solutions are delivered on every project. You’ll be instrumental in reducing risk, driving value, and ensuring a smooth journey from concept to client handover.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical development and validation of MEP solutions from tender through to delivery
  • Review existing building services, surveys, and specifications to assess risks and constraints
  • Manage and coordinate supply chain design to ensure alignment with programme, cost, and architectural intent
  • Act as the internal technical authority, providing clear direction and resolving issues efficiently
  • Oversee commissioning, witnessing, and training to ensure a smooth and well-documented handover
  • Monitor quality and compliance during delivery through inspections and technical reviews
  • Support stakeholders and clients with clear, non-technical communication of complex MEP matters

About you:

  • Strong background in MEP / Building Services within refurbishment or fit-out projects
  • Experience in healthcare and/or commercial sectors preferred
  • Comfortable working across all project stages — from pre-construction through to handover
  • Mechanical bias advantageous, but not essential
  • A proactive problem-solver with the confidence to challenge and drive best practice
  • Able to translate technical detail into clear, practical solutions

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor where technical excellence is genuinely valued, and where you’ll have real influence over project outcomes.
