V7 Recruitment are looking for a Senior Engineer to join a major Data Centre project in Denmark. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile mission-critical project, taking a leading role in the engineering function on site. The Senior Engineer will provide engineering leadership, coordinate setting out and site control activities, and work closely with project management, subcontractors and the wider delivery team to ensure quality, safety and programme objectives are achieved.
The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for QA procedures, record keeping and engineering standards while supporting temporary works coordination, lifting operations and technical problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering leadership across all site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently.
- Lead dimensional control activities and manage the transition between global and local grid systems.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of survey equipment by the engineering team.
- Ensure completion of as-built surveys for key project elements and analyse tolerances across multiple interfaces.
- Maintain accurate engineering records and daily site diaries.
- Support and manage quality control processes across construction packages.
- Prepare, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of key packages including concrete, drainage, structural steelwork and masonry.
- Monitor compliance with project specifications, particularly structural tolerances and quality requirements.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely close-out and minimising defects and remedial works.
- Issue and manage Permits to Break Ground where required.
- Review and prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Identify missing information and coordinate Requests for Information (RFIs) to ensure programme continuity.
- Support temporary works coordination and lifting operations in accordance with project requirements.
- Work collaboratively with project, design and subcontractor teams to maintain engineering standards and project delivery objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Senior Engineer position on large-scale construction, infrastructure or data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering setting out, site control and quality management systems.
- Experience managing NCRs, RFIs, ITPs and engineering documentation.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and quality procedures on major construction projects.

- Temporary Works Coordinator Training.
- Lifting Operations Awareness Training.
- CPCS A61 Appointed Person Qualification.
- Scaffold Inspection/Awareness Training.
- Experience with planning and programming software.
- Previous experience delivering mission-critical or data centre projects.
- Knowledge of BIM, digital engineering and construction technologies.
