V7 are working with a well renowned and rapidly growing Engineering company who specialise in the Water industry and are now looking to add a Project Engineer to the Team. The business is undergoing significant growth and this role will offer exciting progression opportunities. On offer is a flexible salary plus excellent company benefits.
Key Duties
- Attend site and liaise with clients to survey new and existing client enquiries and jobs.
- When surveying work, interpret the full client requirements, and build a specification, detailing all site survey information and taking photographs.
- Liaise with the Project Manager to define the specification.
- Enter all site survey information, including photos, onto company job costing system for full transparency to the rest of the business.
- Liaise with suppliers and specialist sub‑contractors to produce all pricing for the job/project, including company man hours, and produce/issue a detailed scope and pricing document.
- Liaise with the Project Manager to define the costs, so the Project Manager can present specification/costs to the Tendering Department.
- Upon award from the client, liaise with the Project Manager and (once agreed) assist with procuring all materials and organising site attendance with specialist sub‑contractors (if required), then requesting PO's to be raised by the Planning Co‑Ordinator/Administrator.
- Assist the Project Manager to compile and issue job/project specific RAMS and any specific client health and safety paperwork.
- Assist the Project Manager in attending any necessary onsite client meetings.
- Where required, kick start the job/project with the site work team.
- Assist the Project Manager to carry out supervisory visits ensuring the site team follow the RAMS and adhere to both company and the client’s onsite policies/procedures.
- Ensure all specialist sub‑contractors issue their RAMS, approve them, and ensure that they adhere to them when working onsite under the company’s instruction.
