Job Description

V7 are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Subcontractor to carry out the servicing, maintenance, and testing of emergency lighting systems across residential sites in the Manchester area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual looking for consistent, long-term work with weekly pay and flexible payment methods.

While the primary focus is emergency lighting, candidates with experience in fire alarm and security systems (particularly access control and door entry) will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and test emergency lighting systems to regulatory standards
  • Complete relevant paperwork and reports accurately
  • Carry out minor repairs where required
  • (If qualified) Service and maintain fire alarm systems and security systems including access control
  • Work independently and manage time effectively across multiple residential sites
  • Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism on all jobs

Requirements

  • ECS Gold Card (up to date – essential)
  • Proven experience with emergency lighting maintenance and servicing
  • Full driving license and own tools/transport
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and reliably
  • Comfortable with digital reporting/documentation

Desirable

  • Emergency Lighting Training Course certification
  • Experience with fire alarms and security systems (especially access control and door entry)
  • Availability for occasional weekend work or overtime
