V7 Recruitment are looking for a Planning Lead to join a major Data Centre project in Denmark. This role will support project teams by developing, managing and monitoring programmes across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover stages. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual, commercial and compliance requirements.

Working closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams, you will provide accurate programme information, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision-making through robust reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programme Development & Control
    • Lead the development of baseline contract programmes using Primavera P6, ensuring clear logic links and critical path analysis.
    • Prepare construction target programmes that identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
    • Develop tender event programmes for subcontractor procurement, including design release and lead-in activities.
    • Maintain and manage programme documentation within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
    • Create phasing plans to illustrate build sequences, logistics and project delivery strategies.
    • Collaborate with project teams to develop construction methodologies that demonstrate safe and effective sequencing.
    • Support the preparation of project preliminaries, including staffing plans, logistics and temporary works requirements.
    • Engage with the supply chain to incorporate design deliverables, lead-in times, construction durations and resource requirements.
    • Identify programme risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies and appropriate time risk allowances.
  • Reporting, Progress & As-Built Information
    • Develop and monitor tracking schedules to validate subcontractor programmes.
    • Produce as-built programmes and report deviations from baseline schedules.
    • Provide programme impact assessments to support change requests and approvals.
    • Utilise 2D/3D/4D phasing information to demonstrate programme status and progress.
    • Produce validated output rates to measure project performance and support future tender planning.
    • Conduct peer reviews of programmes to maintain quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management
    • Report programme status, progress and risks to project stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
    • Support and mentor Assistant and Graduate Planners.
    • Coordinate planning and programme management activities throughout pre-construction and delivery phases.
    • Assist with programme entitlement assessments under contract forms including FIDIC, NEC and JCT.
    • Lead weekly and monthly programme reporting.
    • Ensure quality and consistency across all planning documentation.
    • Benchmark programme durations using historical project data, subcontractor information and team consultation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential
    • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
    • Advanced knowledge of planning software such as Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.
    • Proven experience delivering large-scale construction or mission-critical projects.
  • Desirable
    • Membership (or eligibility for membership) of a recognised professional body such as CIOB, ICE or APM.
    • Advanced Asta Powerproject training, including progress analysis, S-curve reporting and resource management.
    • Experience with Synchro, BIM methodologies and collaborative data platforms.
    • Knowledge of NEC, JCT and FIDIC forms of contract.
    • Leadership, presentation and stakeholder management training.
