V7 Recruitment are seeking an experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our clients team in Manchester. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the security, efficiency, and performance of our systems. This is a multi-functional position that supports both Office Operations and Engineering Works.

Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in IT administration, with at least 2 years in a senior role
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage internal IT and security infrastructure, including user and client support
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to engineering teams and customers
- Lead and manage IT projects from inception to deployment
- Continuously improve IT infrastructure performance and security
- Assist with website development and enhancements
- Maintain the IT helpdesk and update documentation
- Support pre-build of systems and conduct testing of new products and solutions
- Manage user administration for social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Assist with internal user administration, including starter and leaver device setup
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions
- Familiarity with security protocols and best practices
- Expertise in network administration, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems
- Experience managing cloud platforms (Office 365, SharePoint, hybrid)
- Proficiency in virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
