HV Engineer

My client is a reputable contractor who specializes in Control Panel & Substation manufacturing, Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance, Installation, and Emergency Response for high-voltage power systems. Due to an increase in projects, they are looking for a HV Engineer to join their team, with the first project based in London. (PERM)

Ideal Candidate

1. Degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
2. Experience in HV Testing
3. Understanding of Protection Systems (Distance, Differential, G99)
4. Experience working in nuclear, military, and offshore sites (preferred)
5. Full UK driving license required

Duties Will Include

1. Designing and creating HV plans for new systems
2. Installing HV switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
3. Functional and electrical testing of new and existing systems
4. Performing routine and intrusive maintenance on HV equipment
5. Ensuring H&S on site
6. Participating in a 24/7 emergency call-out rota
