We are supporting a leading international consultancy in the appointment of an experienced Associate MEP Cost Manager to join a major data centre programme in the Nordics. This is a senior client-facing cost leadership role focused on the delivery of large-scale mission critical projects, with responsibility across MEP cost management, commercial reporting, stakeholder engagement and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of complex, high-value data centre projects across Norway and Finland.
The position offers flexibility in location, with the option to be based in-country full-time or work on a rotational basis across the Nordics and home location.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of large or complex MEP cost management workstreams across major data centre projects.
- Act as a primary client contact for cost and commercial reporting, quality assurance and day-to-day commercial matters.
- Manage project cost reporting, commercial outputs and client deliverables to ensure a high standard of service.
- Support and oversee teams of cost and commercial professionals across multiple project packages or workstreams.
- Review team outputs before submission to clients and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a clear understanding of client objectives and ensure project delivery aligns with commercial and contractual requirements.
- Support compliance with agreed scope of service and project delivery parameters.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of cost management systems, processes and reporting standards.
- Provide leadership, guidance and performance support to junior team members and developing consultants.
- Support innovation and best practice across project delivery within a fast-paced technical construction environment.
- Strong experience operating in an MEP cost management / cost consultancy role within a consultancy or client-side environment.
- Track record supporting the delivery of large-scale construction or mission critical projects, ideally within the data centre sector.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, cost management and commercial reporting across MEP packages.
- Experience leading smaller projects or workstreams and contributing to larger, more complex programmes.
- Confident client-facing communicator with the ability to build strong external relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experience supporting or managing teams within a project cost or commercial environment.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional accreditation such as RICS, AACE or similar is advantageous.
