We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Fire & Security specialist for a Fire Systems Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team. About the Role:
As a Fire Systems Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and management of small to large-scale fire system projects. The role requires frequent travel across the Midlands and North of England, ensuring the successful execution of projects within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and manage fire system projects
- Plan and control labour and materials to deliver projects effectively
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet company standards
- Provide technical expertise and attend site meetings as required
- Manage and oversee engineers and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Process cost sheets and liaise with purchasing teams
- Maintain quality control and technical documentation
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the fire systems industry
- Strong technical knowledge of major fire systems (GENT)
- Experience managing engineering projects across multiple site locations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with the following fire systems would be an advantage: Gent, Notifier, Kentec, Ziton, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, Protec
