We are seeking experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) with current SSE authorisations at 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV to support a series of large capital delivery projects across the South of England. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major infrastructure programme delivering key substation, transmission, and network upgrade works across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- You will play a leading role in the safe and efficient delivery of high‑voltage construction works, including:
- New substation builds and extensions
- Transformer installations and commissioning
- Circuit breaker replacement and upgrade projects
- Overhead line and cable route works
- Associated civil construction activities.
This role focuses on capital delivery projects — not fault response or LV network operations.
Requirements
- Current SSE Authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV is essential.
- Demonstrable experience as an SAP within transmission or distribution capital projects.
- Strong understanding of safety rules, permit systems, and switching procedures.
- Proven background in HV substation and infrastructure delivery.
- Ability to work across multiple project sites and manage electrical safety compliance.
