Gate & Barrier / Automatic Door Service Engineer (Sub-Contract / Freelance) in the Greater Manchester Area.
We are looking for experienced Gate, Barrier, and Automatic Door Engineers to join on a long-term subcontract basis, covering multiple sites across Greater Manchester and Liverpool. This role offers excellent earning potential, consistent workloads, and the freedom to self-manage your schedule while working on secure, high-profile contracts.
The Role:- Service, maintenance, and repair of gate, barrier, and automatic door systems.
- Working on a range of systems including FAAC, CAME, BFT, and similar manufacturers.
- Field-based role travelling between housing association and commercial sites.
- Supporting government and large commercial client contracts.
- High volume of planned and reactive work, offering strong long-term stability.
- £37+ per hour
- Weekly pay every Friday
- Outside IR35
- 6-month rolling contract with strong likelihood of extension
- Flexible, self-managed working schedule
- Overtime and weekend work available
- Genuine opportunity for permanent employment if desired
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining gate, barrier, and automatic door systems
- Familiarity with FAAC, CAME, BFT, or similar equipment
- Experience working across commercial and housing sites
- DHF and/or ADSA certification preferred
- Gate Safe certification desirable
- Valid DBS check and full UK driving licence essential
- INDFS clearance or willingness to obtain
