V7 Recruitment are looking for an experienced Fit Out Project Manager to join a major Data Centre project in Amsterdam. Reporting to the Project Director, the Fit Out Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of fit-out and construction activities from pre-construction through to project completion. This role requires a strong leader who can manage multidisciplinary teams, maintain client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, management and successful delivery of fit-out and construction works in line with programme, budget and project specifications.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, design and construction functions.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure resources are effectively allocated to achieve project milestones and delivery targets.
  • Maintain accurate reporting on programme, costs, quality metrics and project performance.
  • Drive productivity and programme performance across all project stages.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, design requirements and statutory regulations.
  • Implement and monitor project-specific quality plans, inspection regimes and method statements.
  • Support project audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Commercial & Contract Management
  • Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, variations and cash flow requirements.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to ensure accurate project reporting and contract administration.
  • Oversee procurement activities and manage subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support tender submissions, bid reviews and pre-construction planning activities when required.
  • Contribute to value engineering and risk management initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor and develop project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration and high performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
  • Chair project progress meetings and ensure key actions are tracked and delivered.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project-related decisions, escalations and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure effective coordination between all project stakeholders to maintain programme and commercial objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential: Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Fit Out Project Manager within a Tier 1 construction, engineering or mission-critical environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering large-scale fit-out packages on complex construction projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant health and safety qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, Safe Pass or equivalent.
  • Desirable: Professional membership (or working towards membership) with organisations such as CIOB, RICS, ICE or Engineers Ireland.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Construction Management or Business Management.
  • Training or experience in Lean Construction methodologies.
  • Experience with digital project delivery, BIM and construction technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and environmental management systems.
  • Previous experience delivering data centre or mission-critical projects.
