V7 Recruitment are supporting the delivery of a major data centre construction project in Norway and are looking to appoint an experienced HSE Manager to join the project team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a large-scale mission‑critical project, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained throughout the construction phase. The successful candidate can either be based full‑time in Norway or work on an 11/3 rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the project EHS & Security Plan across the construction site.
  • Ensure site‑specific EHS procedures protect workers, contractors, and the public.
  • Hold line management accountable for EHS management system implementation and performance.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage engagement from all personnel on site.
  • Monitor and report on EHS performance across the project.
  • Review incident reports and ensure follow‑up actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and closed out.
  • Participate in site audits and weekly inspections, ensuring any actions are resolved.
  • Monitor contractor EHS performance indicators and inspection reports.
  • Support performance reviews relating to EHS engagement and compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an HSE / EHS Manager role on major construction projects.
  • Experience working on data centre or technology infrastructure projects is advantageous.
  • Background working within consultancy, main contractor, or client‑side environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
