The Opportunity
V7 Recruitment are working with a well-established fire and security specialist to recruit a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer covering Leicester and the surrounding region. This is a field-based role focused on commissioning, testing and handover of fire alarm systems across commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring newly installed systems are correctly configured, fully operational and compliant with current industry standards before client handover. This position would suit an experienced Fire Alarm commissioning engineer looking for a stable regional patch with a growing business delivering a variety of commercial projects.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive basic salary £45,000-£50,000

Responsibilities & Experience Required
- Commission fire alarm systems across commercial sites
- Configure and programme addressable fire alarm panels and devices
- Test systems to ensure full compliance with BS 5839 standards
- Carry out cause and effect testing and system verification
- Support installation teams with technical commissioning requirements
- Complete commissioning documentation, certificates and reports
- Provide system demonstrations and handover to clients where required
Experience Needed
- Proven experience commissioning fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of BS 5839 regulations and commissioning procedures
- Experience working with addressable fire alarm systems
- Ability to programme and configure fire alarm panels
- Full UK driving licence
