Role Overview

An established engineering contractor is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to support the production of coordinated drawings across a range of projects, including cleanrooms and laboratory environments. The role will involve producing accurate 2D drawings across MEP services, working closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are buildable and compliant with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce coordinated 2D CAD drawings for MEP services, including HVAC and electrical systems
  • Translate design mark-ups into detailed CAD drawings
  • Coordinate services to correct sizing, routing, and layout
  • Identify clashes, spatial constraints, and coordination issues
  • Produce construction, as-built, and preliminary drawings
  • Develop schematics, legends, and technical drawing details
  • Complete builders work drawings and reflected ceiling plans
  • Maintain drawing registers and document control
  • Liaise with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure accuracy and buildability

Requirements

  • Experience producing coordinated drawings within MEP / Building Services
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit knowledge beneficial)
  • Experience working with architectural and engineering drawings
  • Ability to identify clashes and resolve coordination issues
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
