Are you an experienced outbound salesperson who wants to build and own a pipeline from the ground up and be in the room for every opportunity you create? If you back yourself on the phone, enjoy opening doors into new accounts, and want the variety of turning research and a good conversation into real meetings and revenue, this could be the role for you.
About the company
Our client is a specialist engineering and technical services business operating within critical infrastructure and facilities environments. Known for its technical expertise, exceptional service and trusted client relationships, the business supports major organisations across healthcare, facilities management, higher education, utilities and other asset-intensive sectors. Having grown into a successful multi-million-pound business, it is now entering an ambitious new phase of growth and building the sales engine to drive it.
The role
We're looking for an Internal Business Development Executive to build the top of the sales pipeline. Working a data-built list of target sites, you'll identify the right contacts, make the outbound approach, and book qualified exploratory meetings for the area sales engineers then attend those meetings alongside them to help open the relationship. You own your pipeline from the first call through to sitting in the meeting it creates.
What you'll be doing
- Work a targeted list of sites, research each one, and identify the right FM company and decision-maker, using our in-house AI tools, Lusha and HubSpot.
- Make credible outbound approaches by phone and personalised email to book qualified discovery meetings for the sales engineers.
- Attend the discovery visits you book, alongside the area sales engineer, to help open the conversation and understand the client's needs (the engineer leads on the technical detail).
- Keep HubSpot up to date, and feed what you learn back into the target list so it sharpens with every week of calling.
About you
- Proven outbound business development or internal sales experience, confident on the phone without needing coaching on the basics of a sales call.
- Commercially credible in person as well as on the phone, polished enough to represent the business face to face with decision-makers.
- Comfortable and quick with tools CRM (ideally HubSpot), data tools such as Lusha, and AI-assisted workflows.
