Our client is looking for a Handyman to work at a location in Portsmouth
Key Responsibilities for the position include:
- Address and resolve student-logged maintenance issues.
- Prepare vacant rooms for new arrivals, filling holes, painting, sealing, touch-ups etc.
- Respond to new arrival reactive maintenance requests.
- Escalate complex or certified repairs (e.g., major electrical, gas, HVAC) to manager and provide details for contractor deployment.
- Log all completed tasks and adhere to site health, safety, and fire regulations.
Key Skills & Experience required for the position include:
- Experience in general property maintenance, facilities, or as a handyman.
- Practical skills in basic plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Working knowledge of standard health and safety protocols (e.g., COSHH, manual handling).
- Ability to manage a digital ticketing system and communicate professionally with students.
