Assistant Estimator in Eastleigh

Our client are a UK based construction company who specialise in groundworks and have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Estimator to join their team in Eastleigh

The salary is up to £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus a Car Allowance & a Fantastic Benefits Package.

You will be reporting directly to the Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities for the position include:

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of civil engineering and groundworks packages on major housing developments.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and build cost databases.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates reflect practical delivery methods.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
• Maintain and update estimating tools and systems.

Key Skills & Experience required for the position include:

• Previous experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator within construction or groundworks.
• Good understanding of groundworks, civils, or infrastructure packages (preferred)
• Keen to learn, develop, and progress within a growing business.
• Possesses a construction related HNC / degree
• Full UK Driving License
• Right to Work in the UK
