Job Description

\n Service Now, ITSM, Java Script, Service Now Server, API's, ITIL, SNOW \n My client based in Leatherhead, Surrey have an exciting opportunity for a Service Now Developer for an initial 6 month contract with the potential for further extensions.

This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work from their headquarters based in Leatherhead, Surrey 2 days per week. \n You will need to be an experienced Service Now developer who has previous skills/project experience that includes: \n Platform development and configuration \n \n

  • Design, develop and maintain Service Now solutions using best practice and platform standards. \n
  • Configure and extend applications, forms, workflows, catalogues, portals and dashboards. \n
  • Develop custom applications using App Engine where appropriate. \n
  • Create and maintain Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Flow Designer workflows and Script Includes. \n
  • Build and maintain custom integrations with internal and external systems. \n \n Workflow automation \n \n
  • Automate IT, HR, Facilities, Procurement and business processes using Service Now capabilities. \n
  • Develop approval workflows, fulfilment processes and self-service solutions. \n
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation and orchestration. \n
  • Support zero-touch and low-touch service delivery initiatives. \n \n Integration development \n \n
  • Develop and maintain integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, MID Server, directory services and Microsoft cloud services. \n
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, failures and data quality problems. \n
  • Ensure reliable data movement and appropriate error handling across connected platforms. \n \n Service catalogue and portal development \n \n
  • Develop and enhance Service Catalogue offerings and request fulfilment workflows. \n
  • Create user-friendly portal experiences and dynamic forms. \n
  • Improve self-service capability, guided request capture and knowledge management links. \n \n Platform governance and release management \n \n
  • Participate in platform upgrades, testing and release activities. \n
  • Promote solutions through Development, Test and Production environments using controlled release practices. \n
  • Support CAB processes and change management requirements. \n
  • Maintain documentation, technical specifications, test evidence and implementation notes. \n
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance and architectural standards. \n \n Reporting, analytics and support \n \n
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs and operational reports. \n
  • Investigate and resolve platform incidents, defects and recurring issues. \n
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions. \n
  • Recommend new Service Now capabilities and prioritised enhancements. \n \n Key skills (Snapshot): \n \n
  • Service Now development experience, including configuration and Scripting. \n
  • Strong Java Script skills and understanding of Service Now Server Side and client-side Scripting. \n
  • Experience with ITSM, Service Catalogue, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, CMDB, Knowledge Management and Service Portal. \n
  • Experience integrating Service Now with third-party applications using APIs and enterprise integration patterns. \n
  • Understanding of ITIL and core IT service management processes, including incident, request, problem and change. \n
  • Ability to document designs, test cases, deployment steps and support handover materials. \n \n

Please note that this role is inside IR35 and if successful, you will be required to go through an FCSA approved umbrella company.
