Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer (or Electrical Officer) reports to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of all onboard electrical and electronic systems. The role includes executing UMS test schedules, managing alarm systems, and performing first‑level maintenance on critical communication, radio, and navigation equipment. In addition, the officer provides essential support during cargo operations to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical cargo‑handling machinery.
