Responsibilities
O Oficial de Máquinas é responsável perante o Subchefe de Máquinas por:
- Manter o quarto de máquinas / atuar como Oficial de Serviço em regime UMS (Unattended Machinery Space), quando requerido;
- Manter todos os equipamentos da Praça de Máquinas, com atenção especial aos motores principais de propulsão, motores auxiliares e caldeiras;
- Adotar práticas seguras de trabalho a bordo;
- Na ausência de um Oficial Eletricista a bordo, executar a manutenção elétrica, incluindo a conclusão de todos os itens do PMS no ShipSure;
- Atuar como substituto/treinar sob supervisão do Subchefe de Máquinas sempre que houver oportunidade;
- Executar quaisquer outras tarefas e deveres conforme instruído pelo Chefe de Máquinas e/ou Subchefe de Máquinas.
