END POINT ASSESSORS (EPA) AND TECHNICAL EXPERTS REQUIRED - LEVEL 3 LOW CARBON HEATING TECHNICIAN PART TIME / FLEXIBLE ROLE - FREELANCE / CONTRACT

EndPoint Assessors will carry out assessments of Low Carbon Heating Technician apprentices, including practical observations and technical interviews, validating skills and knowledge for Level 3 Low Carbon Heating Technician apprentices. Technical Experts will provide up‑to‑date industry expertise to help develop assessments and guidance for the standard.

STANDARD – LOW CARBON HEATING TECHNICIAN

Low Carbon Heating Technicians are skilled heat pump installers. The occupation is found in the Building Services Sector of the Construction Industry and involves planning, selecting, sizing, installing, commissioning, servicing, fault‑finding, diagnosis and repair of zero‑carbon central heating and hot water systems in buildings.

THE ROLE

Offered on a generous Zero Hours Contract, the role includes pension contributions. Hours vary with demand and are flexible. The role may be undertaken complementary to an existing substantive position with permission from your employer or within other activities. The role is home‑based with travel to conduct assessments. If working solely as a Technical Expert, no travel is required.

Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end‑point assessment for the relevant apprenticeship standard and method. You will undertake, remotely or directly, assessment activities (including practical observations and technical interviews), award preliminary grades, and ensure all decisions are fair, objective, bias‑free and based on all relevant evidence. You will accurately record the outcomes of all end‑point assessment activities using assessment material and submit these records within required timescales.

Relevant occupational experience to Level 4. Working towards assessor/IQA qualifications – employer can assist with this.
