End Point Assessors (EPA) and Technical Experts required for Level 2 Lead Traffic Management Operative. This is a part-time, flexible role on a freelance/contract basis.
Selective are recruiting on behalf of an Ofqual recognised Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). They are committed to quality and deliver a rigorous apprenticeship end point assessment service, ensuring that apprentices are able to do the job they are trained for.
We are looking for Technical Experts and End Point Assessors to support the development, delivery, and assessment of the Level 2 Lead Traffic Management Operative Apprenticeship standard. If working as an EPA, you will carry out assessments of Lead Traffic Management Operative Apprentices, including practical observations and technical interviews, playing a vital role in validating skills and knowledge. As a Technical Expert, your experience will be utilised to provide up-to-date industry expertise to help develop assessments and guidance.
Lead Traffic Management Operatives are found in the construction sector, in both private and public organisations, including temporary traffic management contractors, construction contractors, utilities companies, and national and local authorities. The broad purpose of the occupation is to coordinate, install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management equipment and systems.
The role is offered on a generous Zero Hours Contract, which includes pension contributions. The hours available vary depending on demand, and you have the choice to accept assignments based on your availability. This role may be undertaken alongside an existing substantive position with the permission of your current employer or within a wider portfolio of activities. The role will be home-based with travel to conduct assessments; if solely working as a Technical Expert, no travel will be required.
Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end-point assessment for the relevant apprenticeship standard and assessment method you are approved for. You will undertake development of end point assessment activities (which may include practical observations and technical interviews), awarding a preliminary grade and ensuring that all assessment decisions are fair, objective, free of bias, and based on all relevant evidence presented. You will accurately record the outcomes of all end point assessment activity using assessment material, submitting these records within required timescales.
