V-Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Hire Desk Controller to start work in Sheffield, as soon as possible. Our client is a reputable, family-run plant hire company who are looking to expand their highly successful team. This role is a permanent, full-time position. You will be assisting in the day-to-day requirements of the construction equipment hire department and will be dealing with customers and clients who are seeking rental solutions.
Duties to include:
- Ensuring all enquiries to the hire team are dealt with appropriately
- Taking and processing orders for operated and non-operated plant hire
- Ensuring that all hire details and customer communications are recorded on the Syrinx system
- Taking orders from our Business Development Manager and Customers and converting them to Hire contracts
- Arranging bookings of equipment
- Taking breakdowns and arranging Fitters to attend site
- Resolving all complaints
- You may occasionally attend site and customer visits/meetings to improve customer relationships
- Scheduling delivery and collections for the transport vehicles
- Dealing with order number creation and purchase invoices coming into the plant division
Job Specifics:
Salaries between £25k-£32k, depending on experience. We will consider higher salaries, and applications from experienced Plant Managers. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am/8am until 5pm. Gates are closed at 5pm – no late working, and no weekends! Bonuses are available, to reward hard work, great performance and dedication! Annual leave - 21 days plus statutory Bank Holidays.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally, we are looking to recruit someone with experience within the Plant Hire industry, but full training can be provided to the right candidate, with relevant construction experience
- Excellent communication/customer service skills with a clear telephone manner is essential
- You must be able to work under pressure, and in a very busy working environment
- You must have good organisational skills, and be able to prioritise your workload efficiently
